Choosing your window blinds.
There is a wide range of window blinds to choose from, including:
- Mini blinds
- Vertical blinds
- Roman blinds
- Venetian blinds
- Horizontal blinds
The Roman blind style refers to the general way in which it is lifted. It is a shade of fabric or other material that lifts in folds.
Because Roman's blinds are one piece, they are a good option for privacy and insulation.
Venetian blinds are the traditional horizontal slatted blinds, with one control to rotate open and close the slats and a second cord to lift or lower
the complete blind.
Usually venetian blinds come with standard 1 inch mini-slats, and also they can be obtained from extra wide 2 inch or 2½ inch sizes.

Roller blinds often used in kitchens or bathrooms.
They can be made from fabric, wood materials such as bamboo and in a range of colours.
The roll of the blind is fixed at the top of the window opening and are operated by a cord or pulley system to one side. Motorised versions are
also available.
Think about how much privacy you need. Sheer materials are good at letting filtered light into a room, but remember that people outside may be able to see in at night when the room is lit inside.
